We are experienced and qualified professionals and take extreme care in all our expeditions to ensure you have a fun, memorable and most importantly safe experience. Expeditions can be as long or as short as you wish from a couple of hours to all day expeditions and camping!


The coast path runs along the river if you prefer to walk to meet up with our Expedition.


We use new equipment and your Itinerary includes:

  1. -Entry to Carwinion Gardens Estate

  2. -Parking

  3. -Walk through the Gardens

  4. -“Open Kayak” or “sit on top” kayak and paddle

  5. -Guide to take you paddling on the River with all safety equipment

  6. -BBQ along the way

  7. -Cream Tea on the Terrace

  8. -Tree to plant at the end of your expedition!

  9. -Our smiles!

Safety

With every expedition there is a safety canoe equipped with outboard motor, VHF radio and safety equipment. It also carries a flask of tea for stops along the way at hidden coves!

Our expeditions are never more than 25 metres from the shore and the coastal path that follows the river.

We ask that all our participants are able to swim 25 metres whilst wearing a buoyancy aid.

We paddle with the tide so its easy! With stops along the way and a huge area to paddle and explore we can go as far or as short a distance as you want to go in the safety of the Helford River!

This is a great experience for active families and individuals that want to see untouched and wild Cornwall.


We can explore up to Frenchman’s Creek (for some history), Gweek (to see the seals!), Helford Passage (for refreshments at the riverside pub), Durgan, Helford Village and the coves and hidden treasures of the Helford River.

PLEASE BRING:

  1. -Your happiness!

  2. -Trainers/walking shoes to walk in that may get wet (not wellies)

  3. -swimming stuff & wetsuit (if you got one)

  4. -towel

  5. -tracksuit top to keep warm

  6. -a hat and sunscreen

  7. -bottle of water
